Klaviyo Integration

The Klaviyo integration allows you to sync data between Ours Privacy and Klaviyo. This integration supports both updating profiles and sending events to Klaviyo.

Integration Capabilities

The Klaviyo integration supports two types of actions:

• Update Profiles: Create or update profiles in Klaviyo using Klaviyo's Profiles API. This allows you to sync contact information, custom properties, and profile attributes to Klaviyo profiles.
• Send Events: Track custom events and behavioral data using Klaviyo's Events API. This enables you to send event completions that can trigger flows, update metrics, and power segmentation in Klaviyo.

This integration requires an email address to be associated with the visitor for proper contact identification.

Requirements

• A Klaviyo account
• Email address associated with the visitor in Ours Privacy
• (optional) - Custom properties configured in Klaviyo (if you want to send custom data)

Setup

1. Navigate to your Klaviyo Account Settings
2. Go to "API Keys" section
3. Create a new "Private API Key" with the necessary permissions
4. Copy the API key into your Ours integration settings

Custom Properties

You can send custom properties to Klaviyo using the property names from your Klaviyo account. To find the correct property names:

1. Go to Klaviyo's Settings > Properties
2. View or create the properties you want to use
3. Use the property names in your Ours integration settings

Data Mapping

When configuring the integration, you can map Ours events to Klaviyo contact properties. The integration will:

• Create a new contact if one doesn't exist with the provided email
• Update existing contacts if they match the email address
• Send custom property data to the specified Klaviyo properties

Privacy and Compliance

This integration is designed to send data over to Klaviyo. Please make sure you have the proper safeguards in place before sending data to Klaviyo.
