OpenAI Ads Destination
Send server-side conversion events to OpenAI Ads to measure how ads inside ChatGPT drive orders, sign-ups, and other conversions.
Use this page to connect Ours Privacy to OpenAI Ads. Each conversion you forward is attributed against your OpenAI Ads campaigns, so you can measure how ads served inside ChatGPT drive purchases, sign-ups, leads, and other outcomes — and keep that attribution working when the OpenAI browser pixel can't fire.
Before you start
- An OpenAI Ads Manager account.
- A pixel created in the Conversions tab of OpenAI Ads Manager.
Setup
- Sign in to OpenAI Ads Manager and open the Conversions tab.
- Copy the Pixel ID for the pixel you want to send events to.
- Click Generate API Key and copy the key right away — OpenAI shows it once.
- In Ours Privacy, add the OpenAI Ads destination and paste both values into the destination settings.
- Configure your event mappings. Map each of your events to one of OpenAI's conversion event names —
order_created,lead_created,page_viewed,checkout_started,subscription_created, and more. The full list is shown in the mapping UI. Any event name that isn't on OpenAI's standard list is automatically sent as a custom event.
A note on eligibility
OpenAI maintains its own advertising policies that govern which products, services, and offers are currently eligible to advertise on the platform — and those policies evolve over time. Before pointing live traffic at this destination, give OpenAI's current ad policies a quick read to confirm your campaigns are in scope. Eligibility is set by OpenAI, not by this integration, so if your category isn't accepted today there's nothing we can configure on our side to change that.
