LeadSquared Destination

Connect Ours Privacy to LeadSquared to create and update leads and post custom activities from your tracked events, so your sales team sees every conversion on the lead timeline.

BetaThis is in beta. The basics are stable, and more capabilities are on the way.
Open Destinations in app

Use this page to connect Ours Privacy to LeadSquared. Once connected, your events can create or update leads and post custom activities on them, so sign-ups, form submissions, and conversions show up on the lead timeline your team already works from.

Before you start

  • A LeadSquared account with access to My Account > Settings > API and Webhooks.
  • Your LeadSquared API Host, Access Key, and Secret Key from that page.
  • To post activities: a custom activity type created in LeadSquared, and its activity code.
  • If you plan to send health-related conversion data, confirm your LeadSquared agreement covers it. HIPAA use cases typically require a signed BAA with every vendor that receives the data.

Setup

  1. In LeadSquared, open My Account > Settings > API and Webhooks.
  2. Copy the API Host (for example, api-us11.leadsquared.com), the Access Key, and the Secret Key. The host depends on the region your account was created in, so copy it from this page rather than guessing.
  3. In Ours Privacy, open Destinations, add the LeadSquared destination, and paste the three values.
  4. Choose the events you want to send, then set the Action for each mapping:
    • Create/Update Lead finds the lead by email (or phone, if you change Search By) and updates it. A new lead is created when nothing matches.
    • Post Lead Activity records a custom activity on the lead with that email address. LeadSquared creates the lead if it doesn't exist yet.
  5. For Post Lead Activity, enter the Activity Event Code of your custom activity type.

Note: Activity codes are specific to your LeadSquared account. Create the custom activity type first, then copy its code into the mapping.

Custom fields

To send lead fields beyond email, phone, and name, map Additional Lead Fields as an object whose keys are LeadSquared schema names (for example, Source or mx_City), not the display labels. Activity fields work the same way through Activity Fields, using the schema names defined on your activity type.

Troubleshooting

  • Credentials rejected: check that the Access Key and Secret Key are current, and that the API Host matches your account region. A host from another region is rejected even when the keys are correct.
  • Leads or activities not appearing: LeadSquared keeps a log of recent API calls under Settings > API and Webhooks > API logs. Check it for rejected field names or values.
  • Duplicate leads: make sure Search By uses the identifier you collect most consistently. When no lead matches, LeadSquared creates a new one.
