How the Ours Privacy AI Assistant follows your permissions, uses page context, cites its sources, and handles your data inside Ours Privacy's AWS environment under your Business Associate Agreement.
The AI Assistant is built for HIPAA-regulated workflows. This page covers how it follows your permissions and how your data is handled.
Answers follow your permissions
The assistant works in your account as you, so its answers reflect what your role can see in the dashboard. Teammates with different access can get different answers to the same question. Ask your account administrator if you need access to more.
Page context
When you open the assistant from a page, it uses what is on your screen to understand your question. It sees what you see, within your own access.
Grounded and cited
Answers come from your account's data and the Ours Privacy documentation. Docs an answer draws on appear under Sources, with further reading under Related documentation.
Data handling
- Answers are generated inside Ours Privacy's secure AWS environment.
- Your data is never used to train public AI models.
- The AI Assistant is covered by your Business Associate Agreement with Ours Privacy.
- Conversations are kept in your chat history so you can return to them.
